The Main Hall is a great space for youngsters to have some fun. It’s spacious, bright and clean, being ideal for entertainment, bouncy castles, food etc. And you’ll find our rates very competitive too!

They will also deal with us and book the hall for you!

Thank you for your inquiry.
It would probably be best if we have a chat. We do basic hall hire, right through to food, entertainers, cake, bouncy castle etc…..you choose whatever you want. At the moment we have a special offer where we supply you a party co-ordinator for free! who arranges everything for you and helps on the day including serving the adults with teas and coffees and generally making sure everything runs smoothly. You advertise the room at £15 an hour but don’t mention that the minimum hall hire us 4 hours and you insisted I had to pay £80 for a 2 hour party (that is £20 an hour).

Many thanks for your feedback. We are very proud of the services we provide at the Main Place and are always striving to improve.
From our experience we appreciate that parties require an hour set up and to clean up and pack away afterwards. We want to make this as stress free as possible for customers so that you can enjoy your special day. The £80 quoted covers four hour of the use of the Hall. The payment also includes Personal Public Liability Insurance Cover which Gloucestershire County Council requires for any individuals using their premises. It also covers use of the kitchen including crockery, cutlery and teas, coffees, squash, milk, sugar and biscuits.
We have been listening to our customers and have recently revisited the charges on parties and also now offer a £66 “no frills” version allowing for hire of the hall, kitchen and the obligatory Personal Public Liability Insurance Cover. We have to ensure that the costs of the hall are covered: it is a modern, warm and clean building ideally suited to parties. We are committed to ensuring that the Main Hall and kitchen are self sustaining and that there is no cost from the public purse. Incidentally any organisation wishing to hire these premises has to have its own Public Liability cover.
hi we would like to say a very big thank you to ( PAUL AND VOLUNTEERS @ THE MAIN PLACE COLEFORD) for making our daughter rhia’s 5th birthday party very relaxed and stress free, not only was the children taken care of with the disco (crb checked) but with party games and party prizes included, but also not forgetting the adults they were provided with endless tea/coffee/biscults and the room was decorated, and all for a very reasonable fee (which we feel is good for the local community) it was great that local suppliers were used which did keep the cost down, the car parking is free- but that doesnt really matter as they are based in a great local position,we have had a huge positive feed back from parents for a great day so what im trying to say is (WE CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE FOR PRICE AND ATTENTION FOR A STRESS FREE DAY ONE THAT WE ALSO ENJOYED/REMEMBERED AS SOMEONE ELSE DID THE ORGANISING) the only thing that we cant comment on is the birthday cake (as we had our own made-but paul was very helpful with some local suppliers that could of done this ) thank you for a well remembered day that not only did the children enjoy but the adults did,we will using this place again in the future ,john, paula, rhia, james
Absolutely recommend Paul at Best Parteez. The Main Place hosted my daughters 1st Birthday Party and Paul supplied the bouncy castle and soft play. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely use again in the future. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Everyone commented on how good the venue was and also the bouncy castle and soft play. 🙂
